The Phasemation MA-3000 is a class A tube monaural power amplifier developed as a more accessible sibling to the flagship MA-5000. Rather than simply adapting the earlier MA-2000 platform, Phasemation brought key elements of the MA-5000's circuit architecture to the new amplifier, including a driver stage that operates as a power amplification stage rather than a conventional voltage-amplification stage. 

The output stage uses 300B directly heated triodes in a parallel single-ended configuration to deliver 25 W, while a high-grade PSVANE EL34 operated in triode mode drives the output stage through a custom Phasemation interstage transformer. The amplifier operates in pure class A without negative feedback, reflecting Phasemation's emphasis on simple signal paths and responsive, expressive reproduction. 

A newly developed toroidal power transformer supplies the low-impedance drive stage, while the output transformer is manufactured by Lundahl of Sweden. The MA-3000 also inherits the MA-5000's floating transformer-isolation structure, using a vibration-damping material to reduce the transmission of transformer vibration into the chassis, circuit boards, and vacuum tubes. Extensive magnetic shielding is applied around transformers, choke coils, and tubes to reduce leakage flux reaching sensitive signal circuitry. 

Connections include both RCA and XLR inputs, with gold-plated machined RCA terminals and Neutrik XLR connectors with gold-plated contacts. Furutech pure-copper, rhodium-plated speaker terminals provide separate 4-ohm and 8-ohm outputs and incorporate a torque limiter to prevent overtightening. A rear-panel attenuator provides 0 dB, -6 dB, and MUTE settings, allowing easier volume-range matching with different preamplifiers. 

The tube cover is an integral part of the MA-3000's design rather than a removable cosmetic accessory. A silicon-steel shield helps prevent magnetic flux from the tubes from reaching other circuits, while the ventilation pattern draws on traditional Japanese motifs. Thick finished glass, Phasemation's slanted aluminum fascia, and TAOC high-carbon cast-iron feet complete a chassis engineered around both mechanical stability and the amplifier's distinctive appearance.
