The Monitor Audio Silver 100 8G takes an unusual approach to the standmount speaker: it is a true 3-way design built around a large 8" bass driver, a dedicated 3" midrange driver, and a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. The configuration gives each driver a more focused role while allowing the Silver 100 8G to reach down to a specified 33 Hz in-room.

It is the larger standmount model in Monitor Audio's Silver Series 8G, combining substantial bass capability with a cabinet that remains considerably more compact than a floorstanding speaker. The Silver 100 8G is sold as a pair and offered in High Gloss Black, European Walnut, and Satin White finishes.

Three Drivers, Three Dedicated Frequency Ranges

The 8" C-CAM bass driver and 3" C-CAM midrange driver use Monitor Audio's RST III cone geometry. Rather than asking one driver to cover both bass and the critical midrange, the Silver 100 8G crosses from the bass driver to its dedicated midrange at 610 Hz, with the 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter taking over at 2.9 kHz.

A refined crossover design manages the transitions among the three drivers. Monitor Audio also uses Through-Bolt Technology to strengthen the cabinet and reduce resonance, helping create a rigid mechanical foundation for the drive units.

Silent Flow Port Technology

The Silver 100 8G uses Monitor Audio's Silent Flow Port Technology, designed to optimize airflow and reduce port-related distortion. The port is tuned to 37 Hz and works with the large bass driver to extend low-frequency performance from a standmount enclosure.
