The Chord Electronics BerTTi brings the company’s ULTIMA amplifier technology to a compact Table Top chassis. Rated at 75 W into 8 ohms, it is designed for systems where full-size power-amplifier performance is wanted without a full-size component footprint.

BerTTi uses Chord’s latest ULTIMA dual-feed-forward topology, a circuit approach designed to monitor and correct the signal before the output stage. The result is a compact stereo power amplifier built around speed, low distortion, and control rather than brute-force size.

Compact ULTIMA Power

As the most affordable ULTIMA-technology stereo power amplifier in Chord’s lineup, BerTTi carries technology derived from the company’s larger amplifiers into a more accessible and system-friendly form. Its fully balanced design, custom MOSFETs, and HF switch-mode power supply are all part of that approach.

Built for Table Top Systems

BerTTi is a natural partner for Chord’s Hugo TT 2 DAC/preamp and Hugo M Scaler, creating a compact high-performance system with serious power amplification in the final stage. It also works as a standalone stereo power amplifier with any suitable preamp or DAC/preamp.

Balanced and Unbalanced Connectivity

Inputs include a stereo pair of balanced XLRs and a stereo pair of gold-plated unbalanced RCA connectors. The speaker outputs use gold-plated terminals, and a 12 V trigger input allows compatible partnering components to switch the amplifier on and off from standby.
