There are now two double triodes per channel, and voltage amplification is provided by 6N2P-EV  tubes. These have a characteristic curve that is similar to the well-known ECC83\u003cbr\u003eor 12AX7 yet more linear. In addition, the 6N2P-EV is particularly low in microphony and noise.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith its high-current cathodes, the 6N1P tubes takes over the function of the driver and buffer stage. Voltage regulation, also from the SA-T7 uses an 85A2 tube, originally developed for high-sensitivity measurement technology.
