Paul was born in Oregon, but his audio journey began in Germany. His father worked for DODDS (Department of Defense Dependents Schools), and Paul’s family moved there, and he grew up in the American school system. Says Paul, Nothing quite prepares one for learning to drive on the Autobahn!
His passion for audio started after school at the on-base audio store, where he caught the audio bug. Paul’s career took him from Germany to St. Louis, Seattle, and Phoenix, working at severa great hi-fi shops, including the original Magnolia Hi-Fi in Seattle. He spent several years as western regional manager for REL Acoustics before joining Upscale Audio.
Two-channel audio remains Paul’s passion, especially integrating subwoofers into music systems. He lives in Phoenix with his wife, dog and two cats. Outside work, Paul enjoys golfing, traveling, and supporting his beloved Seahawks.
